Learning to improve social skills and emotions for adults with autism

This study is testing a new program called TUNE In (Training to Understand and Navigate Emotions and Interactions) that teaches adults with autism spectrum disorder how to better understand emotions, navigate social situations, reduce social anxiety, and build stronger social skills. The program addresses multiple areas that affect how people interact socially, and helps participants practice these new skills in real-world settings. Researchers will measure how well the treatment works by tracking changes in social functioning over time.

Many adults with autism struggle with social interactions, anxiety in social situations, and understanding other people's emotions—even when they have strong abilities in other areas. This trial exists to test whether a structured training program can help improve these social challenges and give adults with autism better tools for connecting with others.
