Testing a new injection to reduce lung flare-ups in severe COPD

This trial is testing a medication called tezepelumab to see if it can help people with moderate to very severe COPD—a chronic lung disease that makes breathing difficult. The medication is given as a monthly injection under the skin. Researchers want to know if this treatment can reduce how often patients experience serious flare-ups of their symptoms.

Many people with severe COPD continue to have frequent, serious flare-ups even while taking their regular inhaled medications. This trial is testing whether this new treatment could offer additional protection by reducing these dangerous exacerbations.
