Understanding lung disease in heart patients and better treatment approaches

This study is looking at how often people with heart disease also have a lung disease called COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) — which many people don't even know they have. Researchers want to understand how common this combination is and whether managing both conditions together, following medical guidelines, helps patients feel better and stay healthier.

Many people with heart disease have undiagnosed lung disease, but doctors don't always check for it. This trial exists to find out how often this happens and to see if treating both conditions together — rather than separately — leads to better outcomes for patients.
