Tracking blood pressure control with a heart medication over three years

The HYIMPACT study is tracking how well Nebilet (nebivolol) helps control high blood pressure in real-world patients across seven Asian countries over three years. Rather than testing the medication in a controlled lab setting, this study follows people in their everyday doctor's offices to see how effective and safe the medication is when used in regular practice. Researchers want to understand whether this particular heart medication works as well for different patients and communities as earlier studies suggested.

While earlier clinical trials showed that this medication can help lower blood pressure, doctors need more information about how well it actually works for patients in real medical practice, especially across different populations in Asia. This study will help fill that gap by collecting long-term information about whether patients stick with the medication, how much their blood pressure improves, and whether it remains safe over extended use.
