Switching to a newer version of inflammatory disease medication

This is a real-world study that follows patients who are switching from the original ustekinumab to Steqeyma®, a newer biosimilar version of the same medication. Biosimilars are highly similar copies of biologic drugs that work the same way but cost less. The study will track whether patients stay in remission (symptom-free) and remain satisfied with their treatment over one year.

Biologic medications have transformed treatment for chronic inflammatory diseases like Crohn's disease and psoriasis, but they are very expensive. Biosimilars offer the same benefits at lower cost, but doctors and patients want real-world evidence that the medication works just as well when people switch to it in everyday practice.
