Support Program for Latino Families with Babies Born with Heart Disease

This trial is testing a Parent Navigator Program—a support service where a trained navigator helps Latino families whose babies are born with congenital heart disease. The program aims to help families connect to developmental follow-up care, improve how babies develop, and reduce parents' stress and worry. Researchers will compare families who receive this support to families who receive standard care alone.

Babies born with heart disease often need special developmental care after they leave the hospital, but many families—especially Latino families—have trouble finding and accessing these services. This trial exists to see whether having a dedicated parent navigator who calls regularly and helps guide families through the system can make a real difference in connecting babies to the care they need and helping parents feel less overwhelmed.
