Testing a lung nerve treatment procedure for breathing disease

This trial is testing the dNerva Lung Denervation System, a new procedure designed to help people with moderate to severe COPD breathe better. The procedure uses a camera and special tools passed through the mouth into the lungs to calm overactive nerves that contribute to breathing problems. If it works, this treatment could be an important new option for people whose standard COPD medications alone aren't giving them enough relief.

Many people with COPD continue to struggle with breathing and quality of life even when they take their regular medications as prescribed. This trial exists to see whether this new minimally invasive procedure—which quiets the overactive nerves in the lungs that make breathing harder—could give these patients meaningful improvement beyond what their current medications provide.
