Early lung cancer screening for family members of affected patients

This research study invites family members of people diagnosed with lung cancer (especially those with genetic mutations) to receive early screening. Researchers want to understand whether lung cancer risk runs in families and whether catching it early with imaging scans can help. You would receive a low-dose chest CT scan—a safe, quick imaging test—to look for any early signs of lung cancer.

Doctors have noticed that some lung cancers are linked to inherited genetic changes. This study exists to see if screening close family members can find lung cancer earlier, when it may be easier to treat, and to better understand how genetic mutations affect cancer risk in families.
