Testing a camera device to track leg swelling in heart failure patients

This study is testing a device called the Heartfelt device that takes daily photos of your feet and legs to track swelling caused by heart failure. The device works passively — you just walk past it at home, and it automatically measures changes in your leg size. Researchers want to see if catching swelling early can help prevent hospital admissions and improve your quality of life.

Heart failure often causes fluid to build up in the legs and lungs, leading to swelling and breathlessness. While patients are encouraged to monitor their weight and symptoms, it can be difficult to keep up with this regularly. This trial is testing whether the new treatment can make it easier to spot warning signs early so doctors can act quickly before the condition gets worse.
