This study doesn't follow the usual testing phases — it may be an observational study or a different type of research.
This trial is testing an online cardiac rehabilitation program designed specifically for people recently diagnosed with coronary heart disease. The program combines healthy lifestyle education—like exercise and nutrition—with mindfulness exercises to help reduce stress and anxiety. Researchers want to see whether this online approach improves both emotional wellbeing and physical health outcomes compared to standard care.
Many people with heart disease experience stress and anxiety after diagnosis, which can actually make their condition harder to manage. This trial exists to find out whether adding mindfulness and online support to traditional cardiac rehabilitation helps people recover better and feel more emotionally supported during their treatment.

If you join this 12-week study, you'll be randomly assigned to either the treatment group or the usual care group. The treatment group will have one in-person session to learn how to use the online website and activity monitor, then will be encouraged to use the website weekly to learn about healthy lifestyle changes and listen to mindfulness exercises. A nurse will also call you every two weeks for the first six weeks to check in on your progress. Everyone will complete brief questionnaires and wear an activity monitor at the start, 6 weeks in, and at 12 weeks—taking about 40 minutes each time, plus a short interview.
