You will be randomly assigned to either receive real brain stimulation or a sham (inactive) stimulation, both combined with standard swallowing exercises. If you receive real treatment, small electrode pads will be placed on your scalp for 20-minute sessions, once daily, 5 days a week for 2 weeks. You'll have swallowing tests and brain imaging before treatment, right after, and again 3 months later to see if the treatment helped and how your brain changed.
