Two hand therapy approaches for carpal tunnel syndrome

This study is testing two different physical therapy approaches for carpal tunnel syndrome—a common condition where a nerve in the wrist becomes compressed, causing numbness and pain in the fingers. One group will receive paraffin therapy (warm wax treatment), while the other will receive ESWT (a procedure using sound waves). Researchers will measure how well each treatment reduces nerve swelling, improves nerve function, and lessens pain.

Carpal tunnel syndrome affects many people and can interfere with daily life. While several treatments exist, doctors want to understand which physical therapy approach works best to reduce swelling around the nerve and improve symptoms without surgery or injections.
