Testing two ways to deliver group exercise classes for knee arthritis

This trial is testing whether group physical therapy classes can help veterans with knee arthritis feel better and move more easily. Researchers know that exercise is one of the best treatments for knee arthritis, but many veterans aren't getting access to it because physical therapy services are hard to find and have long wait times. This study will test two different ways to set up and support these group exercise programs at VA hospitals to see which approach helps the most people.

Many veterans with knee arthritis could benefit from exercise therapy, but there aren't enough physical therapy appointments available—some veterans wait months or the VA has to pay for treatment outside the hospital. This trial is trying to find the best way to deliver group exercise classes, which can serve more patients at once and give everyone access to the care they need.
