Understanding quality of life and movement in bone and soft tissue cancer patients

This research study is testing whether a tool called PROMIS (Patient-Reported Outcome Measure Information System) can help doctors understand how sarcoma patients are doing after surgery. The study also evaluates a new smartphone app called ACTIVATION that tracks your daily movement and asks you brief questions about your physical and mental well-being. The goal is to give your care team a better picture of your real-world recovery.

Sarcoma is a rare cancer that often requires major surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation—treatments that deeply affect how patients feel and function. Doctors need better ways to measure recovery that go beyond the traditional questionnaires, which don't always capture the full picture and have low completion rates. This study will help create a more personalized, technology-enabled approach to track what matters most to patients like you.
