Comparing Lung and Muscle Strength in Lung Disease Patients

This research study is comparing lung function, respiratory muscle strength, and how well muscles use oxygen in three groups of people: those with COPD (a chronic lung disease), those with early signs of lung changes called PRISm, and healthy adults. The researchers want to understand how these conditions affect the body's ability to breathe and exercise, and how muscles perform in each group.

Many people with early lung changes (PRISm) go on to develop COPD or experience serious breathing problems, but there hasn't been enough research comparing how their muscles and lungs work compared to people with COPD and healthy people. This study will help doctors better understand and treat these conditions.
