Long-term study tracking heart patients on new protein-targeting therapy

This study follows patients who have been diagnosed with transthyretin amyloidosis with cardiomyopathy—a rare condition where abnormal proteins build up in the heart—and who are starting treatment with vutrisiran or another approved medication for this condition. Researchers want to understand how patients do over 5 years in real-world medical practice, tracking outcomes and quality of life as they receive this treatment.

This medication represents an important advance for a rare and serious heart condition, but doctors and patients need to understand how well it works and how safe it is when used in everyday clinical practice, not just in controlled research settings.
