Testing a new medication combined with existing treatment for advanced lung cancer that has spread to the brain

This trial is testing Zorifertinib combined with Osimertinib for people with advanced lung cancer whose disease has spread to the protective membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord. The study wants to find out if this medication combination is safe and whether it works better than the current approach. All participants will receive both drugs together, starting with lower doses that may be gradually increased to find the safest and most effective dose.

When lung cancer spreads to the brain's protective membranes, it becomes very difficult to treat and stop growing. Many patients whose cancer has already been treated with Osimertinib find that the disease breaks through and spreads to this area despite the medication. This trial is exploring whether adding the new treatment can help control this type of spread and improve outcomes for these patients.
