Testing radiofrequency waves to ease shingles nerve pain

This trial is testing transcutaneous pulsed radiofrequency (TCPRF), a non-invasive technique that uses electrical energy applied through adhesive skin patches to reduce chronic nerve pain caused by shingles. The study will measure whether this treatment helps people whose pain has not gotten better with standard medications. Researchers will track pain levels and quality of life over three months to see if this treatment works.

Many people continue to suffer from severe, long-lasting nerve pain after shingles even when taking pain medications. This trial exists to see if this newer, non-invasive electrical treatment might offer relief for those whose pain doesn't improve with conventional approaches.
