Better tools to measure autism care quality and life outcomes

This study is looking for better ways to measure how children with autism are doing — not just in one area, but across their whole life, including quality of life, daily functioning, and what they're good at. Researchers will add new measurement tools to the care your child is already receiving at Italian health clinics, to see how well these tools work in real, everyday medical practice.

Right now, doctors measure autism outcomes in pieces — they look at one skill or behavior at a time — but they rarely look at the whole picture of a child's life, strengths, and family needs. This study is designed to create better, more complete tools that give doctors and families a clearer understanding of what's really helping, and to make sure families have a real say in their child's treatment plans.
