Creating a questionnaire for cognitive problems in liver cirrhosis

Researchers are developing a new questionnaire called the Liver Cirrhosis Cognitive Decline Scale (LiCCoS) to measure thinking and memory problems that people with liver cirrhosis experience in their daily lives. Many people with liver cirrhosis have difficulty with attention, memory, or processing speed, but current tests don't always capture how these problems affect everyday activities. This study will test whether the new questionnaire works well and accurately reflects what patients actually experience.

While doctors have tests to measure thinking problems in liver cirrhosis, these tests often require special training to give and don't always match what patients feel in their own lives. This study exists to create a simple, patient-friendly tool that captures real-world cognitive difficulties and can be used easily in clinics and research.
