Testing four drugs together for advanced colorectal cancer with a specific gene mutation

This trial is testing a combination of four medications — sintilimab, ipilimumab, cetuximab, and dabrafenib — given together to treat advanced colorectal cancer in patients whose tumors have a specific BRAF gene mutation. The goal is to see whether this combination can work better than current standard treatments for this type of cancer, which typically has a very poor outlook. This medication combination works by attacking cancer cells in multiple ways at once.

People with advanced colorectal cancer that has this particular gene mutation usually don't survive long with standard chemotherapy alone. Early research suggests that combining these four types of drugs might work together to boost the body's immune system and make cancer cells more vulnerable to attack.
