How a new antidepressant affects the brain's reward system

Depression often makes people lose interest in things they normally enjoy (a symptom called anhedonia) and reduces their motivation to put effort into activities. This medication is known to work fast for depression, but scientists still don't fully understand exactly how it helps the brain process rewards and motivation. This study will help fill that gap.
