High-intensity laser therapy versus standard physical therapy for knee arthritis

This trial is comparing two ways to treat knee osteoarthritis — a common condition where the cartilage in your knee gradually breaks down, causing pain and stiffness. One group will receive High-Intensity Laser Therapy (a non-invasive treatment that uses focused light energy to reduce pain and inflammation) combined with exercise, while the other group will receive standard physical therapy treatments like ultrasound or electrical stimulation combined with the same exercises. The study wants to see which approach helps patients feel better and move more easily.

Knee osteoarthritis affects millions of people and is a leading cause of disability, especially as people age. While standard physical therapy helps some patients, doctors want to know if this newer laser therapy might work even better at reducing pain and improving how well the knee functions — without surgery.
