Predicting which patients will respond well to anti-TNF therapy

This research study is testing whether two specific blood tests can predict how well anti-TNF therapy will work for you before you start the medication. Researchers believe that by checking for certain markers in your blood ahead of time, they can identify which patients are most likely to benefit from this treatment and which patients might need a different approach from the start.

Many patients with inflammatory bowel disease don't respond well to the medication or lose its effectiveness over time, which can lead to ongoing inflammation and worsening disease. This study exists to find a way to predict who will benefit from this treatment before starting it, so doctors can make smarter, personalized treatment choices from day one.
