Finding advanced liver disease early in people at metabolic risk

LiverSeek is a screening program that automatically checks routine blood work to find people who may have advanced scarring (fibrosis) in their liver. If your initial blood tests suggest possible liver damage, you'll be invited for additional testing including an ultrasound-like scan and a visit with a liver specialist nurse. Some participants will also receive personalized advice on diet and lifestyle changes to help their liver health.

Most people with fatty liver disease and metabolic problems never get checked for dangerous liver scarring, even though guidelines recommend it. This study uses a passive, automated approach that doesn't burden your doctor — instead, the computer system flags at-risk patients based on existing blood tests, making screening much simpler and more likely to catch problems early.
