Adding an anti-inflammatory drug to standard chemotherapy after pancreatic cancer surgery

This trial is testing whether adding celecoxib, an anti-inflammatory medication, to gemcitabine (the standard chemotherapy drug) works better than gemcitabine alone in preventing pancreatic cancer from coming back. You would be randomly assigned to receive either gemcitabine by itself or gemcitabine plus the additional medication. The trial will track how long you stay cancer-free and monitor any side effects.

After surgery to remove pancreatic cancer, many patients still experience cancer recurrence. Researchers believe that adding this medication might boost the chemotherapy's ability to prevent the cancer from returning, potentially helping patients live longer and healthier lives.
