Comparing MS treatments using brain imaging and blood tests

This is a long-term study that follows people with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis who are on different treatment levels. Researchers want to compare how well newer, more powerful MS medications work compared to standard treatments by carefully tracking brain changes and disease markers over time using MRI scans and blood tests.

While newer, stronger MS medications have been shown to work better in short-term studies, doctors need long-term evidence from real patients to confirm they truly prevent disease progression better than standard treatments. This study also wants to understand other factors beyond the medication itself—like sleep problems or other conditions—that might affect how the disease progresses.
