Advanced MRI imaging to personalize radiation therapy for five cancer types

This trial is testing whether combining an MRI scanner with a radiation therapy machine can deliver more personalized cancer treatment. Researchers will collect detailed MRI images before and during your radiation therapy to understand how your tumor and healthy tissues respond to treatment day by day. The goal is to eventually adjust your radiation dose based on real-time information about your tumor's sensitivity to radiation.

Standard radiation therapy delivers the same dose to every patient, but tumors respond differently from person to person and even change during treatment. This study exists to see whether using advanced MRI imaging to map these differences could help doctors give more effective doses while protecting healthy tissue, particularly by identifying areas of low oxygen that are resistant to radiation.
